How does Melaseq work?
There are two forms of Melaseq Genomic Testing:
1. Melaseq Solid Tissue test
The Melaseq Solid Tissue test is performed on the same small piece of skin a doctor removes during a skin examination (biopsy). It complements traditional diagnostic procedures by providing a deeper assessment of the risk of melanoma, based on genetic markers in the skin sample. The test analyses skin cells at the genetic level, demonstrating over 95% accuracy in multiple clinical studies.4

2. Melaseq Liquid Biopsy test
Work is currently underway on the blood-based (“liquid biopsy”) version of Melaseq, which will generate a Melaseq Genomic Score from a simple blood test.
