Dr Marissa Muller is a qualified Anatomical Pathologist and an affiliate of Australasia’s Royal College of Pathologists. She worked as a Senior Consultant Pathologist at the National Health Laboratory Services in Pretoria, where she was involved in diagnostic surgical pathology, cytopathology, and coronial autopsies. She also trained undergraduate and postgraduate medical students at the University of Pretoria.
In 2013, she received the Discovery Foundation award for her research project in the field of infertility titled “An endometrial histomorphometric study of CD56+ natural killer cells in women with unexplained infertility”.
In 2021, she joined Pathlab Bay of Plenty in Tauranga, New Zealand, where she expanded her international network and gained knowledge and experience in Digital Pathology. Her broad clinical interests include Hematolymphoid, Gastrointestinal, Soft tissue, Head and neck, Lung and Pediatric pathology. She is passionate about teaching and training and is particularly interested in clinical governance and medical laboratory management.
Marissa joined Clinical Labs (WA) in May 2024, and looks forward to contributing to its mission and vision. She is proud to be a part of the Clinical Labs team and looks forward to continuing to serve the community with dedication and excellence.
